De Montfort House

De Montfort House is a 16-story high-rise building in Leicester, owned and managed by Platform Housing Group. There are 272 individual dwellings within the building which are rented social housing.
High Aims Ltd have been involved in this project since 2017 identifying funding opportunities, project managing and coordinating the below upgrades:
- Installation of Heat Networks
– Gas Boilers
– Gas Combined Heat & Power Plant (CHP)
– Traditional Wet Central Heating System (Radiators)
– Heat Interface Units (HIU) - Installation on all Corridors of Automatic Opening
- Ventilation Systems (AOV)
- Installation of New Door Entry System & Security Cameras
- Replacement and Upgrade of Roof
All of the above points have followed the Building Safety Act 2022.
The property was originally heated solely by electric via storage heaters and electric immersions for domestic hot water. The communal areas are the responsibility of the landlord; however, these areas were unheated and required review to improve health conditions and comfort to its residents.
